What is the best way to stretch yourself out and not break an ankle I do dance and im working on my splits and leg extensions.

ok, first of all, ALWAYS warm up before you stretch. If you don%26#039;t you%26#039;ll just be trying to stretch cold, stiff muscles. Do at least 20 jumping-jacks, then run in place for about 3 minutes(dont keep looking at the clock, set an alarm). To make it fun alternate (do 8 jumping-jacks, then run for a minute, do 8 more jumping-jacks, then run for another minute, and so on). the best way to know if you are warmed up enough is to see if your heart is beating fast. if it is, then start stretching. touch your toes without bending your knees, hold on to your toe and bend the opposite leg, do the butterfly and push down on your knees, and there are a lot more that I don%26#039;t know how to explain. Then when you are down stretching, slowly open up your splits, and stay for about a minute. then, switch legs. hope my advice helps!
