side jumps, jetes, russians, renverses !
i have a flat split, but they%26#039;re just not that high.
any help?
How can I get my jumps higher for?
1. extensive practice
2. sleep and food are important too ( though it depends on what kinds of foods)
3. try yoga- it helps to ease the mind- creating focus on the jumps, and the stretches it emphasizes may help
4. study successful people in the past as to how they surpass the height, perhaps you can discover certain methods of movements that will help you accomplish your goal
How can I get my jumps higher for?
The only Way to get your Leaps Higher is to get your muscles built up to get that power to get up high.
Reply:build up your muscle strength and make sure you stretch.
Reply:Try practicing with weights attatched 2 your ankles
Reply:Try grand allegro with 3 pound weights! You also have to use your plie or in other words go through it. Do not stop in it! Jumping also has to do with how long your tendons are, if you have short tendons you will not be able to jump as high as a person with long tendons but you can still create the illusion of jumping as high by using your plie!
If you use weights you should use them at the bar then for center take them off until grand allegro.

Reply:the deeper your plie, the higher your jump. make sure that your heels always start firmly into the floor and return to that deep plie else your teacher might shoot you! pet hate with my teacher. i found with jumps like Bris茅, Assembl茅 and Frapp茅 get their extra energy through the extension that goes through the floor on the way out and grand allegro, battery and other jumping steps all really need deep plies.practice at the barre and your get better. the more you focus the better they wil become. happy dancing! =)
